Lingshan Heroes (2000)

This is a rare Chinese film presented by Channel Myanmar, and I would like to sincerely acknowledge the CM Team for presenting such a rare drama series. When I was younger, I used to run to watch a series called Araharya which aired at 7 p.m. on Myawaddy. It was such a fascinating show! The lively thousand-year-old Lingzi herb Araharya and the love story of the beautiful actress Liushan Shan and the virtuous Jianxian made it unforgettable. We also got to watch the unforgettable performance of the villainous Taoist priest, Wu Bian, whose character was always full of intrigue. The plot of this series takes place in ancient times, in a kingdom called "Htonlon." Near this kingdom, there is a mountain called "Linsan Mountain," where the thousand-year-old Lingzi herb, Araharya, grows. The Taoist priest, who wishes to live forever, captures the Araharya herb to consume it, but his plans are thwarted by the mountain goddess Liushan Shan. However, his scheme fails, and the Taoist priest dies as a result. Wu Bian, the villainous Taoist priest, is persistent in his efforts to capture the herb, using various methods to try to obtain it.
