Project A Part II (1987) (MM SUB) continues the adventures of Sergeant Dragon Ma (Jackie Chan) as he takes on crime and corruption within the police force and local government. While the pirate theme takes a backseat this time, the film ramps up the political intrigue and urban action. Though Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao are absent, Jackie carries the film with his usual blend of charm, comedy, and jaw-dropping stunt work. The action set pieces are creative and thrilling, especially the chaotic finale involving a mansion full of enemies. Verdict: A solid sequel that trades seafaring villains for street-level chaos—less iconic than Part 1, but still packed with fun and furious action.
